He is survived by: his wife Eloise Hathorn (Burton); his brother David Hathorn (Glenda); his sons, Robert Hathorn Jr. (Michelle) and Jeffrey Hathorn (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Randall, Crystal, Greg, Tamara, Chase, Kenny, Chelsea and Jada; and his great grandchildren, Aubrey, Elaina, Brady, Bryce and Rowen. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
