She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerard Dubè and Juliette Dubè (Jamm); and her sisters, Rose Simpkins, Joan Cote, Beverly Therrien and Dorothy Landry.
She is survived by: her husband Walter E. Oakes Jr.; her children, Janet Smith (Jim) of Industry, Don Oakes (Valerie) of Falmouth, Karen Thurston (Glen) of Rumford and Joanna Deetjen (John) of Newport; her grandchildren, Matthew Oakes (Morgan), Logan White, Jay Smith (Johanna Heeren), Casey Oakes, Ethan White, Shane Smith (Sacha), Lauren Dighton (Joe) and Christina Oakes; her great grandchildren, Cameron White and Myles Dighton; her brother Francis Dubay (Anne); and her brother-in-law Wayne Therrien.
