She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolphus Gonyaw and Gertrude Gonyaw; her former husband Gerald "Joe" Waterman, Sr.; her husband Franklin Thompson; her son Ricky Dean Waterman; her siblings, Randolph, Katherenne and Rodger; and also Gerald "Gary" Waterman, Jr..
She is survived by:, Carolyn Smart, Shirley Curtis (John), Judith Young (Brian Lafoe) and Gloria Bishop Lane (Joseph). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
