It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Tippens (Millinocket, Maine), born in Lowell, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 2, 2018, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Alice Bahn, Ethel Hannula, Charlotte Williams, Phyllis Miller, Joseph Miller and Richard Miller; and her siblings-in-law, Margaret Tippens Grant and Frederick E. Tippens.
She is survived by: her parents, Joseph John and Ann Elizabeth Miller (Lackey); her children, Sally T. Sweeney of Bangor and William A. Tippens; her great grandchildren, Melanie Tippens, Brandon Tippens, Kylee Abbe, Alex Abbe, Dale Blundell, Avery Blundell, Ava Sweeney, Noah Sweeney and Piper McGarvey; and her husband Bill. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
