He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Neil and Sophie Nicholson (Scopie); his wife Loretta Jean Nicholson (Landry); his brother Daniel Nicholson; and his brothers-in-law, Donald Lyons, Cary and Walter Landry.

He is survived by: his sister Nancy Lyons; his sisters-in-law, Rita Landry and Joyce; his son-in-law Gary Rideout; his sons, Scott Nicholson (Judy), Shawn Nicholson (Karen) and Cory; his grandchildren, Jason Rideout and Melissa; his siblings-in-law, Gilda, Gerald Vienneau, Norma and Grady West; and his daughter Katelyn Inners (MacDonald).
