He was predeceased by: his parents, John Chase and Angie Chase (Gillespie); his children, Travis Chase, Luann Shorey and John Chase; and his brothers, Richard Chase and John Chase, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Hazel A. Chase (McLaughlin); and his children, Barbara Sibley-Chase, Patty Mulligan (Brandon Ham), Peggy Drinkwater (Roland) and Carroll Tash, Jr. (Cassandra Junkins). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
