She was predeceased by: her husband Rene Bernier; her sons, Robert, Roxie and Richard; her siblings, Oliver Oakes, Vinal Oakes, Carlton Oakes, Milton Oakes, Warner Oakes, Berdina Boutaugh, Rowena Voisine, Zelma Ayotte and Freda Gillis; and her great grandchildren, Brian Bernier and Jacob Tozier.
She is survived by: her parents, Oliver Oakes and Maude Oakes (Madore); her children, Rene Bernier (Claudette), Rodney "Peewee" Bernier (Ginger), Carlton Bernier (Charlotte), Brenda Additon (Robert), Sandra Bernier, Clarence Wildes and Sheila Duplisea (Eugene); her daughters-in-law, Margot Bernier MacDonald and Mary Bernier; and her brother Robert Oakes (Darlene).
