He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie F. Johnson Sr. and Corrine Marie Angotti; his siblings, Lori Jean Cates and Bruce Wayne Johnson; and his grandson Tyler Brian Johnson.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Mae Johnson (McCluskey); his son Matthew (Chrystal); his grandchildren, Kendra and Camden; his son Brian (Jane); his grandchild Jaci; and his sisters-in-law, Clara Albert and Sharon Jandreau. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles.
