He was predeceased by: his parents, Burns Elkins and Bessie Elkins (Thompkins); his wife Juanita Elkins (McLaughlin); his siblings, Robert, Dean, Doug, Lawrence Elkins and Pauline Hanson; and his granddaughter Lisa Gardner.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Elkins (Jane), Scott Elkins (Elizabeth), Brent Elkins (Gail) and Wanda Gardner (Tom). He is also survived by six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
