He is survived by: his wife Veronica; his children, Richard Reed Jr. (Angela) of Dedham, Gary Reed of Parkville and Wanda Reed-Curtis (Stacy) of Detroit, Maine; his sister Kay Reed of Port Richey, Florida; his grandchild Jase Carney (Karissa Beal); his children, Avery of Milbridge, Rowan of Milbridge, Evan Carney (Brittany Whitmore), Maleki of Ellsworth, Kitt Reed (Calley) of Bar Harbor, Gage Reed (Aaron Kolvek) of Columbus, Ohio and Kera Reed of Parkville, Maryland; his great grandchild Gavin Carney of Rumford, Maine; his nieces and nephews, Jeana, Lisa, Laurie, Karen, Sonya, Lynn, Chris, Robbie, Brian, Marty, Ricky, Billy, Kevin and Steve; his sisters-in-law, Aldea (John Laplante), Dorothy Roach and Patricia Reed; and his friend Star.
