She was predeceased by: her parents, Milford Ray and Almena Ray (Sprague); her husband Frank M. Strout; and her siblings, Moses Ray, Milford Ray, Jr. and Elaine Leighton.

She is survived by: her son Michael W. Strout (Jennifer) of Milbridge; her granddaughters, Jessica Leighton (James) of Milbridge and Jillian Smith (Donald) of Connecticut; and her great grandchildren, Madison Leighton (Brettin Dinsmore) of Milbridge, Michael Leighton of Milbridge, James Leighton, Jr. of Milbridge and Donald Smith III of Connecticut. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
