He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Stevens and Margaret Stevens (Wilson); and his wife Patricia (Blackwood). He is survived by: his children, Charles L. Stevens (Anne) of Brewer, Harry F. Stevens Jr. (Joy) of Brewer and Karma Stevens-Alley (Dean) of Addison; and his grandchildren, Brendon Stevens of Lansdale, Kellie McKenney of Brewer, Joshua Stevens of Hermon, Amanda Savage of Hamden, Kristin Alley of Addison, Shane Alley of Machias and Emily Stevens of Bangor. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
