LaPorte (Mattall); his daughter Kathy Taylor (Eric); his grandson Benjamin Taylor of Bar Harbor; and his siblings, Kenneth LaPorte (Susan), Gene LaPorte (Penny), Michael LaPorte, Elaine Scott and Karen Deckert (David). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews.
