He was predeceased by: his daughter Jamie Nelson Hill Garman; his siblings, Ron Hill, Anne Htoo, Jane Hill and Dodo Knight; and his cousin Bill Pitman.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Nelson of Concord, NH; his close friends, Pam, Ed Sampadian of Concord, NH, Wendy, Rick Flanders of Pocono Pines, PA, Tracy Hill, Cathy Gore of Portland, ME, Gretchen, Ed Bradley of North Conway, NH, Heidi Hill and Tom Thurston of Waterbury, VT; and his grandchildren, Ashley Centeno, Lindsey Donohue, Alex Flanders, Gretchen Pereira, Emily Sagris, Chelsea Sampadian, Hannah Sampadian, Kieffer, Zachary Bradley, Ava and Julia Thurston.
