He was predeceased by: his parents, Hayden P. McCarthy and Margaret McCarthy (McLaughlin); his wife Donna Fae Gordon; his son William; and his brother Wayne McCarthy.
He is survived by: his children, Susan McCarthy, Bernard McCarthy Jr. (Aimee) and Mark McCarthy (Susan Cassidy); his grandchildren, Eric, Tanner, Natalie and Frances McCarthy; and his siblings, Donna Waddell, Hayden B. McCarthy, Clayton McCarthy (Deborah) and Royce McCarthy (Lori). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, brother, and sister in laws.
