With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sterling A. Wilcox (Mapleton, Maine), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 4, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Sterling departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Sterling. Though Sterling may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wilcox and Mertie Wilcox (Drost); his wife Claire; and his daughters, Sharon Miller and Dianne (Milford Long).
He is survived by: his children, Patricia McMullin (Roger Hill), Janice (Richard), Sheldon (Violet Wilcox), William Wilcox, Donald (Pamela Wilcox) and Ronald (Angela Wilcox); and his son-in-law Ronald Miller Sr.. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
