He is survived by: his wife Meg Merrill; his siblings, Adamae Merrill, Michael Merrill, George Sharlow II, Carmen Lone and Orretta Sharlow (Toots); his brother-in-law James Cadman; his children, Erica Wenckus, Christina Merrill, Kimberly Pooler, Donald Pooler, Ruby Dale Merrill, Thomas Merrill, Brianna Merrill and Isabella Merrill; and his grandchildren, Alexys Pinkham, Dylan Pooler, Samuel Colon and Olivia Merrill. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
