She was predeceased by: her father Chandler Cates; her son Jon Atwood; her brothers, Gary and Ricky Cates; and her stepfather Charles Hardy Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia (Wayne Coro) of New Portland, Michael and Joshua (Lorene); her husband Lindy Atwood of New Portland; her grandchildren, Hunter of Kingfield, Chandler and Brooke of New Portland; her mother Ruth Cates Hardy (Arthur Gagne) of Anson; her siblings, John Cates (Brenda Madden), Judy Smith (Craig) and Larry Cates; her aunt Dody Bridges; and her sisters-in-law, Joan Damen, Polly Bolduc, Carol Durant, Kim Poulin, Kim Craig and Taren Bate. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
