She was predeceased by: her spouse Kenneth Gross; her son Corey Kingdon; and her brother Fred Lamott. She is survived by: her children, Athens, Starks, Kristen Wedin (John), Kathy Mason (Mike) and Beth Hatfield (Tim); her siblings, Bill Lamott, Barbara Colanton and Sally Forsythe; her grandchildren, Michael Lane, Diana Phair (Mike), Michelle Mason (Joe Malady), Danielle Mason, Rachel Hatfield and Sarah Hatfield; her great grandchildren, Ronnie French, Jack Malady, Owen Phair and Olivia Phair; and her friend Joanne Moran. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mabel's name may be made to Literacy Volunteers of Bangor.
