It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fernand Lavoie of Madawaska, Maine, who passed away on November 24, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lionel Lavoie and Lina Lavoie (Rioux); and his siblings, Quentin Lavoie, Carmen Thibodeau, Noella Lavoie and Rolande Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Gemma Lavoie (Albert) of Madawaska; his sons, Paul Lavoie of St. David, Michel Lavoie of Eliot and Danny Lavoie (Malika Gagne) of St. Basile, NB; his siblings, Claudette Lesko (Bill) of Florida, Bernadette Fongemie (Gerald) of St. David, Patsy Lavoie of Canada, Jean-Paul Lavoie (Diane) of Canada, Nicole Laroque of Canada, Gilles Lavoie (Aldea) of Canada and Denise Tardif (Arthur) of Canada; and his grandchildren, Nathan, Lindsey, Jakob, Krystelle, Alicia and Elizabeth. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church (337 St Thomas St, Madawaska, ME 04756). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
