He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Martin and Rose Martin (Ouellette); his former wife Yvette Martin (Michaud); his sons, Kenneth Gene Martin (Linda) and David Martin; his grandson Neil St. Amant; and his siblings, Richard, Gerard, Norman Martin, Theresa Cyr, Carmen Ouellette and Claire Pelletier.
He is survived by: his children, Philip Martin (Gloria) of Madawaska, Phyllis St. Amant (Louis) of Durham, NC and Roger Martin (Rejeanne) of Madawaska; his stepsons, Carl Cyr (Carmen) of Edmundston, NB and Mark Cyr (Giselle) of Longwood, FL; and his sister Fernande Michaud of Madawaska. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren.
