He was predeceased by: his parents, R. Foster Leighton and Ruby Leighton (Trott); and his brothers, Richard "Dick", Gerald and Robert Leighton.
He is survived by: his wife Vivian Leighton (Antone); his children, Randy Leighton (Val Wilcox) and Tammy Pulk (Allan); his grandson Joshua Pulk (Jennifer Young); and his sister Diane Foley (Tom). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
