He was predeceased by: his parents, William W. Kennedy, Jr. and Helen E. Kennedy (McBrady); his wife Hazel Barlow; his children, Karen Kennedy, Susan Langlin and Michael Kennedy; and his brothers, Alfred, John, Robert, Henry and Bill Kennedy.
He is survived by: his children, Renda Guild (Gordon) of Livermore and Charles Kennedy, Jr. of Livermore Falls; and his brother Fredrick Kennedy (Annette) of South Portland. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
