He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank L. Liberty and Thelma Liberty (Finn); his wife Karen Liberty; and his siblings, Thurla Labbe, Joyce Liberty and Raymond Liberty.

He is survived by: his former spouse Josiane Duguay; his children, Tamara Liberty of Lewiston, Yvonne Scott (Ted Lachance) of Tennessee and Michael Liberty of Auburn; his stepgrandson Brandon Crosby of Livermore Falls; and his granddaughter Megan Beckham of Florida. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
