He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wilson Thompson and May Caldwell Thompson; his wife Jean Morris Thompson; his daughter Gail Thompson Hulsey; and his brothers, John, Lawrence and Chester.
He is survived by: his daughters, Anne Thompson of Litchfield and Barbara Thompson; his grandson Andrew Clemons; his great grandchildren, Clark and Dean; and his grandson Samuel Rothman of Scarborough. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
