It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Michael Morrison in Litchfield, Maine, born in Des Plaines, Illinois, who passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his daughter Kelly Morrison; and his father James D. Morrison. He is survived by: his wife Sherri Daugherty; his sons, Alec and Sean Morrison; his mother Marilyn Morrison; his siblings, Mary Spino (Jeff), Kathy Milowski (Dave), Julie Worsham (Tremayne) and Mike Morrison; his father-in-law Gerald Daugherty; and his close friend Javier Schmidt.
Extended family was equally important to Jim as he made time for them a priority, maintaining bi-weekly Zoom meetings started during COVID, and visiting them regularly.
He was a long-time supporter of the American Chestnut Foundation and actively contributed to the revitalization efforts of the American Chestnut tree by planting them prolifically.
