He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Bailey and Marguerite Bailey (Webb); and his grandparents, Percy, Madeline Bailey, William and Evelyn Webb.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Emerson Fern; his wife Betty Lou Bailey of Litchfield; his children, Douglas Bailey of Pittston and Dr. Susan Bailey; his sister Diann Bailey of Pittston; his aunt Jean Webb of Pittston; his uncle Robert Webb of Randolph; his cousins, Pamela Moody, Laurie Leavitt, Mary Bailey, William Leavitt and Douglas Webb; his nephew Thomas Alexander; his niece Lauren Brown; his great-nephews, Charlie and Leo Alexander; and his granddaughters, Madison and Lexi Reutershan.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Gardiner, 47 Church Street, Gardiner ME 04345, to be used for renovation of the kitchen in memory of Dan.
