He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Grondin, Sr. and Florence Laroche; his children, Florence Grondin and Brian Grondin; his grandson Joseph Grondin; and his brother Roger Grondin.

He is survived by: his wife Janice Smith; his daughters, Jackie Beebe (Curt Plaisted) and Jen Labonte (Kristina Record); his grandchildren, Allie Beebe, Jacob Beebe, Lauren McDonough, Brittany Roldan-Grondin and Michael Grondin; and his siblings, Pauline (Maurice Perrault), Carol (Aaron Abbott) and David Katula. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
