With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ronald David Thornton (Lincoln, Maine), born in Brookton, Maine, who passed away on February 2, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hawley Otto Thornton and Doris Odella Thornton (Wheaton); his wife Sylvia Thornton (Vassar); his brother Philip Thornton; his cousin Linwood Bubar; his friends, Pop, Herman Peabody and Andy Stinson; and his pet Sophie.
He is survived by: his son Hawley "Tim" Thornton; his daughter-in-law Ann; his daughter Laurie Ramsay; his son-in-law Kirk; his brother Paul Thornton; his sisters-in-law, Joyce and Gayle Thornton; his granddaughters, Rebecca Levesque (Matt), Lindsay Dolloff (Jon), Jade Ramsay and Nia Abbott (Justin Harvey); his great grandchildren, Everett Levesque, Nolan, Sylvia Dolloff, Elia Ramsay-Fox, Edyn, Avalyn Brawn, Wyatt and Paxton Albert; his granddaughters, Charlotte and Alexis Abbott; his cousin Earl Bubar; and his pets, Poppy "Ladybug" and Ranger.
