He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Sutherland and Mary Sutherland (Osgood); his wife Marilyn Moores; and his siblings, Osgood, Clayton, Clair, J. Paul, Guy, Perley, Barrie, Beverly McDunnah and Charlene Stanley.
He is survived by: his sons, James Sutherland (Brenda) and Bruce Sutherland (Ramona); his grandchildren, Jessie Sutherland, Joshua Sutherland, William Sutherland, Nicole Sutherland, Amy Sutherland and Eric Nystrom; and his sisters-in-law, Avis Fleck and Joyce Sutherland.
