He was predeceased by: his parents, Cora Whitten and Fordest Whitten; his siblings, Elaine Whitten, Phyllis Wormwood, Robert, James and Russell Whitten; and his grandson Eddie Whitten.
He is survived by: his children, Leonard Whitten of Limerick and Amy Whitten Foster of Steep Falls; his wife Wilma Whitten; his grandchildren, Ashley Whitten, Tayla Smith and Tim Whitten; and his sisters, Carol Goodwin and Lucille Grundell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
