He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Brown and Georgianna Brown (Alley); his significant other Florence Brown; his grandchildren, Michael Brown and Tanya Lynn Brown; his siblings, Lena Davis, Ora K. Brown Jr. and Paul Brown; and his siblings-in-law, Esther Blackwell (Henry), Joan Thompson, Louis Thompson and Roger R. Thompson.

He is survived by: his children, Diane LaCau (Tony) of Wasilla, AK, Raymond Brown (Goldina) of Presque Isle, Leon Brown of Fort Fairfield, Mary Ann Oliver of Limestone, Shirley Nolan (Sean) of Gulf Breeze, FL and Elaine Budesa of Las Vegas, NV; his brothers, Dwayne Brown (Elaine) of Jonesport and Delmont Brown of Columbia Falls; and his great grandchildren, Harley Ann and Heidi Ashley Simon. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
