He was predeceased by: his parents, George Nichols and Hazel Nichols (Thurber); his sister Sabra Farnham; his son Jeffrey Nichols; and his grandson Raymond Burgess.

He is survived by: his children, Leslie Burgess and Justin Nichols; his brother Craig Nichols; his grandson Travis Burgess; and his great grandchildren, Tyler, Cameron, Sawyer and Mackenzie.
