She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Judge Adrian Cote and Florence Cote (Doucette); her siblings, Paul Cote (Joan) and Adrienne Emmi (Tony); her husband John T. Butler; her children, Shaun Butler (Ray Harris) of New York City, Kathleen Butler Simpson (Steve) of Lewiston, Patrick Butler (Patricia) of Portland, John T. Butler, Jr. (Ann) of Lewiston and Mary Lou Harris (Tim) of Lewiston; her significant other Nongnuch Makarom (Kum); her great grandchildren, Madison, Natalie, Braden, Zhylis, Chama and Jorah; and her pets, Vegas and Izzy. She was also cherished by many friends, nieces, nephews and cousins who lost their own parents.
