He was predeceased by: his parents, Dolard Mathieu and Anna Mathieu (Turmel); his daughter Claudette Morrissette (Lee Morrissette); and his brother John Mathieu (Beatrice Mathieu). He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Mathieu (Begin); his children, Gerard Mathieu (Donna), Debra Lesniak and Cathy Cote (Paul Cote); his siblings, Leo Mathieu (Sue Mathieu) and Jeanne Arneault (Ronald Arneault); his grandchildren, Kristy Lesniak, Michael Lesniak (Brittni Lesniak), Anna Labbe (Nicholas Labbe), Joelle Koenig (Yanick Koenig), Brian Lesniak, Crickett Cote, Darcy Bashir (Waleed Bashir), Gerard Morrissette (Jessica Morrissette), Mark Morrissette (Pamela Morrissette), Paul Mathieu (Danita Mathieu) and James Mathieu (Nicole Mathieu); and his great grandchildren, Destiny Lesniak, Wyatt Lesniak, Mary Lesniak, Mason Lesniak, Brockton Morrissette, Jaydon Morrissette, Zachary Morrissette, Dylan Morrissette, Brea Mathieu, Cullen Mathieu, Emma Mathieu, Ellie Mathieu, Cadence Koenig, Jeremiah Koenig, Aria Koenig and Paislee Koenig. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
