With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James W. Halliday Sr. of Lewiston, Maine, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 20, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact James had on those he encountered along his journey. Though James may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bernard Halliday and Florence Halliday (Walker); his close friend Patricia Bellegarde of Lewiston; his children, James Halliday, Jr. (Suellen) of Livermore Falls, Shannon Chabe (David) of Auburn and Jennifer Pettorini-Kerr (Bill) of Barboursville, VA.; his stepson Gary Bellegarde; his daughter-in-law Tabitha Halliday; and his sister Lynda Levasseur (Roger) of Turner. He was also cherished by 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
