George Hood Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Hood (Leeds, Maine), who passed away on December 29, 2018 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Augustus Hood Sr. and Cora Hood (Goding); his wife Nellie; and his sister Janet Mitchell. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Amanda Fortier, Dakota Hood, Keith Ellis, Kyle Ellis, Curtis Brown III, Taylor Hood, Garret Leiter and Zackary Lavoie; his great grandchildren, Morgan, Hunter, Charlotte Fortier, Makenzie Ellis, Cayden Bronish and Hadley Tozier; his brothers, Augustus Hood, Jr. of Turner, Philip Hood of Leeds and Richard Hood (Pat) of Griffin, GA; and his brother-in-law Burton Mitchell of Leeds. He is also survived by daughters, "his little angels" Sheri Hood and companion Vern Keene of Jay; Kimberly Ellis and husband Dean of Canton; Coralee Hood and fiancé Bill Lavoie of Leeds; and Rebecca Albert and husband, Leo Albert, Jr. of Oxford, his cat.
