He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Amanda (Bouffard) and Alfred Joseph Desrosiers; and his brother Richard Desrosiers. He is survived by: his wife Judith Desrosiers (West); his children, James Harvey Desrosiers (Paula), Deborah Amanda Beal (Richard) and Tracey Lee Bell (John); his stepson Timothy Bass (Heather); his grandchildren, Erin Lyn Beal, Erica Lee Beal, Autumn Nicole Desrosiers, Brooks Adam Desrosiers and Haleigh Matilda Bass; and his siblings, Rita Payheur, Pearl Dumais, Connie Dean, Doris Cyr, Renald Desrosiers and Dennis Desrosiers. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
