With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melvin Mark Butman of Kennebunk, Maine, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 2, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Butman (Herman) and Phillip Butman; his daughter Eileen Brown; and his niece Robin Pearl. He is survived by: his daughter Joanne Cartwright (Bill); his grandchildren, Caitlin Johnson (Charlie), Cassidy Brown and Charles Cartwright (Lucky); his great grandchildren, Charlie Augustus Johnson and Idrees Charles Cartwright; his sister Alphe Pearl; his nieces, Judy Jay (Robert), Debbie Eikrem, Nancy Stevens and Phyllis Pearl-Baxter (Nancy Butman Gahm); and his close friend Jean Briggs.
