With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Judith Wilcox (Kennebunk, Maine), born in Waterbury, Connecticut, who passed away on May 1, 2021 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Judith Wilcox to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Bertrand Root and Mildred Root (Granger); her sister Nancy Davis (Root); her nephews, Allen Davis and Robert Wilcox; and also Irving Samuel Wilcox.
She is survived by: her sister Sandra Gemmel (Root); her nephews, Stephen Douglas Wilcox (Debbie) and Scott Granger Wilcox (Karla); her daughter Linda Jean Crawford (Scott); her grandchildren, Christopher Wilcox, Shaun Wilcox, Sarah Hoang (Jonny), Tucker Wilcox and Grace Kelly; and her nieces and nephews, Susan Howe, Anne Batchelder, Joan Peckham, Beverly Grohs, Neill Gemmel and Fred Wookey Jr.. She is also survived by her children and their spouses.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in her honor to help preserve her favorite places and people – her beloved hometown through donations to the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust PO Box 7004, Cape Porpoise, ME 04014 and her beloved home church, through donations to South Congregational Church, P.O Box 414 - 2 North Street Kennebunkport, Maine 04046.
