He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Fadiman and Pauline Evans; and his wife Mary Lou. He is survived by: his children, Clarissa Eaton of Ayer, MA, Matthew Fadiman (Jennifer) of Kennebunk, ME, Christopher Hardman (Cathy) of Rochester, NH and Plessy Dray (Alan) of Coral Springs, FL.; and his half-siblings, Kim Fadiman of Jackson, WY and Anne Fadiman (George Colt) of Whately, MA. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
