He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry Pierce and Ardath Nadeau Pierce; his wife Patricia Smith Pierce of Kennebunk; his children, Jason Pierce (Joanna Tapp Pierce) of Asheville and Sara Pierce Esperti (Nicholas Esperti) of Barnstead; his grandsons, Cameron Pierce, Ian Pierce and Daniel Esperti; and his brother Thomas Pierce (Christine Griffin Pierce) of Rockwood. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
His family asks that those who wish to memorialize him consider making a donation to the JAX Cancer Center https://www.jax.org to support their efforts in targeted genomic cancer research.
