We are sad to announce that on June 27, 2023, at the age of 93, Joan Elizabeth Donohue of Kennebunk, Maine, born in Brooklyn, New York passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joan Elizabeth Donohue to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Stephen McGovern and Vera Isabel Perry (Vienne); her husband John Joseph Donohue; her daughter Joan Elizabeth Donohue Ellis; her granddaughter Julie Anne Ellis; her son-in-law Chris Barr; and her siblings, John McGovern and Elizabeth McGovern Colyandro.
She is survived by: her children, Eugenie Donohue Moffitt, Margaret Donohue Barr, John Donohue, Stephen Donohue, Patricia Donohue, Daniel Donohue, Monica Donohue O'Connor and Brendan Donohue; and her friends, Eleanor Fournier of Moody, ME, Dave and Marie Desjardins of Wells, ME.. She is also survived by 39 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, 21 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Joan to the St. Anthony Franciscan Monastery, 28 Beach Avenue, Kennebunk, ME 04046, or to St. Martha's Church, 30 Portland Road, Kennebunk, ME 04043.
