We are sad to announce that on March 3, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Henriette Abel Stackpole (Kennebunk, Maine), born in Elizabeth, New Jersey. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Henri Abel, MD and Alice Gibb Abel, MD; her husband Bob; her grandson Drew; her daughters, Sarah, Betsy, Jane and Alice; her grandchildren, Serena, Christian, Robert, Charlotte, Will and Brooke; and her sisters, Alice, Louise and Ernestine. She was also cherished by four daughters in Elizabeth near Cookie's parents and siblings.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Cookie can be made to Amagansett Village Improvement Society (PO Box 661, Amagansett, NY 11930) or Trinitas Regional Medical Center (Trinitas Health Foundation, P.O. Box 259, Elizabeth, NJ 07207-0259).

“I was very saddened to read of Henriette’s passing. As a Math teacher in Elizabeth, I had the pleasure of teaching Henriette’s four daughters, Sarah, Betsy, Jane and Alice along with her sisters, Louise and Ernestine. Henriette and her husband, Bob, were supportive of public education and they were always present at school functions. I can still remember Henriette’s warm, lovely, enthusiastic manner. As you reflect on your special times together, Henriette will live forever in your hearts.”
