He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Hand and Barbara Sisbower Hand; his siblings, Barbara Hand and Peter Hand; his grandson Nicholas Hand; and his brother Thomas Hand.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Ann Hand of Pound Ridge; his children, Elizabeth Hand of Lincolnville, Patrick Hand of Rapidan, Virginia (Katherine Griffin Hand), Brian Hand of Chicago, Kathleen Taggersell of Kennebunk and Barbara Legan of Riverside; and his sister Susan McBride of San Francisco, California.. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
