He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Fessenden and Elsie Fessenden (Freese); his son Raymond "Bub" Fessenden; and his siblings, Nellie Donahue, Alice Goodwin, Elsie Crawford, Harold, Caleb Benjamin, Francis, Albert Fessenden, Marjorie Dickinson and Arnold Fessenden.
He is survived by: his wife Lucille Fessenden (Chapman); his daughter Lorraine Benton of Bangor; and his grandchildren, Robin Benton Campbell (Kern), Tammie Benton Grant, Ernie and Stephen Benton Nystrom (Eva). He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including a special nephew.
