He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur A. Akell and Doris Akell (Dickie); his wife Denise Akell of Stoneham, MA.; and his brother Arthur Akell. He is survived by: his children, Zachary Akell of Jay and Jyll Akell of Aurora, CO; his grandchildren, Meagan and Violet Akell of Denver, CO; his siblings, Alan Akell (Bebe) of Aurora, CO. and Laverne St. John (Al Baxter) of Turner; his niece Robin Akell; and his nephew Nathaniel Akell.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the North Turner Village Hall (29 Howes Corner Rd, Turner, ME 04266).
