Romeo J. Fortier Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Romeo J. Fortier of Jay, Maine, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 6, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Adalbert Fortier and Alice Fortier (Beaudette); his siblings, Julie Bubier, Eloise Vachon, Irene LaBranche and Roger Fortier; his daughter-in-law Kellee Fortier; and his siblings-in-law, Arthur Bubier, Lucien Vachon, Raoul Pinette, Ronald Labrecque, Lucien Levasseur and Marlene Fortier.
He is survived by: his wife Annette Fortier of Jay; his children, Sue Bell (Kevin) of Winthrop, Rick Fortier (Riitta) of Westbrook, Dennis Fortier (Elisabetta Mariotti) and Tom Fortier (Stefanie Copeland) of Jay; his grandchildren, Jessica Bell (David Archibald), Jarek Bell (Tory), Jordan Bell (Emily), Hayley Fortier, Shae-Lynn Fortier, Kara Fortier, Sabrina Fortier, Francesca Fortier and Romeo Fortier; his great grandchildren, Nate, Nora, Remy, Naiah, Elina, Cecilia and Maxwell; his siblings, Constance Pinette of Auburn, Florence Labrecque of Lewiston, Rose Marie Levasseur of Lewiston and Paul Fortier (Evelyn) of East Livermore; and his siblings-in-law, Donald LaBranche of Lewiston and Lois Fortier of Jay. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Finley Funeral Home (15 Church St, Livermore Falls, ME 04254). The military honors was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
