In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Perley had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Perley may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Perley Richard Smith Sr. and Lillian Stanhope Smith; his wife Ina Myrtie Smith; and his son Duane Smith. He is survived by: his children, Russell Smith (Sue) of Arizona, Vickie Braley of Jay, Pamela Polson (David) of Skowhegan and Jeff Smith (Tracy) of Hillsboro; and his sister Patty Worcester. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Birchland Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Amvets Hall (111 Main St, Jay, ME 04239).
