He was predeceased by: his parents, Zenno Barnaby and Daisy Knox Barnaby; his wife Joyce Barnaby of Crown Point, NY.; his sister Juanita Scanlon; his son-in-law Winston Nickerson, Jr.; and his close friend Beatrice Farrington.
He is survived by: his children, LaRena Nickerson of Farmington, Regina Savage (Thomas) of Jay and Gilbert J. Barnaby, Jr. (Betsey Stevens) of Skowhegan; his grandchildren, Ryan Voter (Shyla Richards) of Bangor, Rena Voter of Ellsworth, Brian Barnaby of So and Jennifer Sanborn (Robert) of So; his great grandchildren, Luca Arlen Zitsch, Briton Barnaby, Emmalee, Carlee, Benett and Levitt Sanborn; and his siblings, Dr. Roger Barnaby of California and Daisy Tabone of Texas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
